What is the definition of Shiatsu therapy?

Does effective Shiatsu requires strong pressure applied with only the thumbs or fingertips?
No according to Shizuto Masunaga, mastering only one technique does not mean you will achieve effective result. Better result can be achieved by simple innocent techniques than by using fingertips or thumbs. Strong pressure can also be applied using palm, elbow or knee and be as effective as long as you use natural amount of pressure.
How long does it take for total body Shiatsu?
It takes approximately 50 minutes for total body shiatsu (10 minutes more in case of specific problem). Beginners have a tendency to take longer while professionals tend to give shorter treatment

No. You have to consider the body as a whole, and even if pressing tsubo is part of the Shiatsu treatment, you cannot limit the treatment to some point, but you need to rebalance the whole body.
